Company Statement

From Konecta, we would like to deny the information published recently in the media about what happened a few days ago in one of our work centres in Madrid.
First of all, we want to show our pain, solidarity and support to our colleague's family. During these days, our top priority has been to preserve their privacy and intimacy and to accompany them in these moments of mourning.

We have the best memories of our beloved colleague, who was exemplary in her dedication, companionship and impeccable professionalism, demonstrated throughout all the years she was part of the Konecta team.

Unfortunately, certain people have tried to use this misfortune to manipulate the information and misrepresent the truth without consideration for the family's privacy.
We want to condemn how certain parties have acted, dehumanising a personal situation that has affected the family and colleagues, who are alarmed and surprised by what appeared in different media.

We ask for the utmost respect and cautiousness from the media, and we would like to share the following:

• The company acted correctly in the emergency context that occurred at the workplace.
• Supportive actions have immediately been provided to the workers, offering them psychological support and the possibility of teleworking.
• Despite what has been conveyed, the company has been in permanent communication with the workers' representatives.

This tragedy profoundly sorrows us, and our thoughts and prayers go to the family and loved ones for the irreparable loss of our colleague.
